Kirby Center for the Performing Arts Rules
To ensure the safety of all patrons and guests, The Kirby Center for the Performing Arts has created the following code of conduct and policy guidelines. Please review and follow the rules and policies below as failure to abide by them may result in expulsion from the venue without refund.

Accessibility Policy
The facility is equipped with several accommodations for persons with disabilities. These include handicapped seating available on the main level that includes wheelchair seating, oversized seating, and other seating requests. Please contact the box office for help with finding the right accessibility seating for you at 570-826-1100.
If you require listening enhancement devices, they are available free of charge at the main lobby coat check station. A signer can be made available if you call 570-826-1100 at least two weeks before a scheduled event.
Restrooms designed for persons with disabilities are located in the main lobby.
Arrival Policy
For most events, it is recommended that guests arrive no later than 30 minutes before an event starts time. For some concerts and special events, late arrivals may be asked to wait before entry for an appropriate break period.
Camera Policy
Flash photography, video or audio recording devices, and professional cameras with detachable lenses are strictly prohibited for all performances. Standard or nonprofessional cameras are only allowed if both the venue and artist provides public authorization and will be noted in the program guide or description.
Cancellation Policy
Usually, events and shows are never canceled since the show must go on. But if a show is canceled or postponed due to weather or artist cancellation you can request a refund or reschedule of your ticket at 570-826-1100.
Dress Code Policy
All guests should come dressed appropriately for a public venue. The style is up to you, but most guests come dressed in smart-casual at a minimum.
Food Policy
Outside food and drink are not allowed. Refreshments are available before the show and during intermission periods.
Lost and Found Policy
Lost an item at an event? You can ask event staff for help with finding the lost and found service. You can also call 570-823-4599 after the performance. Please be prepared to leave your full name, contact information, and a detailed description of your lost item.
The Kirby Center for the Performing Arts does not claim responsibility for your lost possessions.
Prohibited Items
Kirby Center for the Performing Arts prohibits the following items from the venue.
- Outside beverages including unopened bottles and cans
- Backpacks
- Empty beverage containers
- Coolers
- Chains and spiked jewelry
- Weapons
- Pocket Knives
- Laser Pointers
- Illegal Substances
- Animals (service animals are allowed)
- Beach balls and inflatables
- Bullhorns and air horns
- Fireworks
- Signs with sticks
- Posterboard signs
- Confetti and Silly String
- Tobacco products and electronic cigarettes
- Laptops/iPads
- Pepper Spray/Mace
Individual events may have additional prohibited items. Please refer to the specific event for a complete list.
Refund Policy
Unless a show is postponed or canceled, all sales are final. If a show is postponed or canceled, please call the box office at 570-826-1100 to ask about a refund or reschedule.
Smoking Policy
Smoking of cigarettes, pipes, vapes, or any other smoking paraphernalia is not allowed in the venue or within 300 feet of any entrance. You may ask the event staff if there is a designated smoking space available.
